AtherX is a fan-made project and is not affiliated with Roblox Corporation. This page explains what data AtherX itself stores about you, why, and how to get it deleted. Roblox Corporation does not receive any of this data from us.
When you just visit
If you browse without an account, we store your browser's user agent (your browser, its version and your operating system) to help detect bots. It is cleared periodically.
When you create an account
- Username and password. Your password is never stored in plain text. It is hashed with argon2, so not even staff can see it.
- Email address, if you add one, used for account recovery.
- Your application, if signups require one. The questions and your answers are kept, even if the application is rejected.
- Account details such as when you joined and were last online, your avatar, outfits, inventory and transactions.
Security and anti-abuse data
- IP address. We store a hashed version of your IP address (SHA512 with salts), not the address itself. It is linked to your account and used to detect spam, alternate accounts and ban evasion.
- Device identifier. When you play, the game client sends your device's network (MAC) address. It is linked to your account and used to detect alternate accounts and enforce device bans.
- 2FA secret. If you turn on two-factor authentication, we store the secret needed to verify your codes.
What you choose to share
Anything you post is saved: your description, status updates, group posts, messages, forum posts, comments, and content you upload such as images. Only your latest description is kept. Status updates are kept permanently. Social links (Discord, YouTube, and so on) are only stored if you add them.
How we use it
Only to run the site, keep accounts secure, and moderate. We don't sell your data, show ads based on it, or share it with anyone except as needed to run the site (see below) or if required by law.
Services we use
Pages and files may be delivered through Cloudflare and jsDelivr, which have their own privacy policies.
Deleting your account
You can request deletion on the Account Deletion page. You need to have been offline for one week first, and visiting the site while logged in counts as being online, so log out and wait a week before requesting it. Deleting your account removes your personal data. Content you uploaded to the site, such as images, may stay. Records needed to enforce existing bans may also be kept.
